Rényi Institute is seeking Research Scientists to join our AI Research & Development team. You will have the privilege to work at a renowned academic institute and do what you love: do research and publish in the field of machine learning / deep learning.
Your role:
- Contribute to and actively form the research agenda of the AI team
- Contribute both to the foundational/basic research and/or the applied projects pursued by the team
Minimum requirements
- You have contributed to at least one publication appeared in the past 3 years in a ML/AI related journal/conference or have equivalent experience in industrial ML product development
- You can design and execute a medium or long term research plan
- You have an MSc or PhD degree in computer science or related field
- You are fluent in python, numpy, and in a deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax)
Your role
- Contribute to and actively form the research agenda of the AI team
- Contribute both to the foundational/basic research and the applied projects pursued by the team

The AI Research & Development group at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics is one of the most successful machine learning research groups in Hungary, with accepted publications at some of the most competitive AI conferences. Our team simultaneously works on Deep Learning research problems and applied projects. This provides a great opportunity for the candidate to be exposed to both the theoretical and the practical aspects of deep learning.
